Description

Some lifters love gloves. Some lifters hate gloves. Both camps are right for different reasons. If you’re someone who likes lifting bare-handed and embracing the calluses, that’s a legitimate choice. If you’re someone who prefers to protect your palms, support your wrists, and avoid the dead-skin buildup that comes with heavy training, Pristine Training Gloves are built for you — and we’re not going to argue with anyone’s preference.

These are padded training gloves with integrated wrist wraps, built to do the two main jobs gloves are supposed to do: protect your palms from the bar and stabilize your wrists during pressing movements. The palm is lined with a dense foam pad that absorbs pressure on heavy bar work — particularly useful for high-rep barbell work, dumbbell pressing, and any movement where the bar wants to grind into the base of your fingers. The wrist wrap extends a few inches up from the glove, attaches with a velcro closure, and lets you customize how much wrist support you want on any given lift.

The materials matter. The palm is synthetic leather with the foam pad sewn in — durable enough to handle daily use, breathable enough not to turn your hands into a sweat swamp. The back of the hand is a breathable mesh that lets heat escape. The wrist wrap is heavy-duty cotton-elastic blend with reinforced stitching where it attaches to the glove.

The wrist support is the underrated feature of training gloves. Anyone who’s done heavy pressing — bench, overhead, dumbbell — knows the feeling of your wrist starting to wobble on the heavier sets. The wrist wraps integrated into these gloves let you cinch down the velcro to whatever tightness you want for any given exercise. Lighter wraps for high-rep work or movements that need wrist mobility (kettlebell swings, cleans). Tighter wraps for heavy pressing where you want your wrist locked in.

The fit matters more than people expect. Gloves that are too tight restrict your grip strength and cause hand fatigue; gloves that are too loose bunch up and cause blisters. These are sized to fit snugly without restricting movement, with enough stretch in the materials to accommodate different hand sizes within each size range. Available in S, M, L, and XL — measure your hand width across the knuckles to size correctly.

What gloves don’t do is improve your grip strength on the bar. They protect your palms and stabilize your wrists, but you’re still doing the actual gripping with your hands. If grip is failing on heavy pulls, lifting straps are the right tool, not gloves. Use gloves for the protection and wrist stability they provide; use straps for grip support on max-effort work.

The gloves are machine washable on cold with mild detergent, air dry. Don’t put them in the dryer — the heat breaks down the synthetic materials over time. With reasonable care, a pair of these should last through at least a year or two of regular training, depending on how often you train and how aggressive your workouts are.

For lifters who prefer to wear gloves: these are built right, with real wrist support and real palm padding, at a price that doesn’t require justifying.
